How to use your smartphone in nature and close-up photography

Mobile phones are currently a very important tool for taking pictures. In 2014, nearly 1.67 billion (!) smartphones were sold around the world, so the number of pictures taken with them is impossible to imagine. Many photographers underestimate this tool, claiming that photos captured with phones are not photos.

However, it is important to keep in mind that current mid-priced models provide much better pictures than the first models of digital cameras once did. The possibility of hand-held HDR shooting, installation of applications enabling processing and fast transfer of images, use of wide-angle, macro or fisheye adapters allow us to make genuine attempts at producing interesting, good quality shots.
